Egis Group

General information

Egis is a joint stock company whose 100% of shares belong to Caisse des Dépôts – one of the largest financial investors in Europe. In the year 2006 it was acknowledged as the third international contractual company dealing with transportation and infrastructure on the world wide scale (See: Engineering News Record 2006). In the same year the company’s turnover reached USD 500 million. The Group is collectively represented by 3 800 employees (estimated for the year 2006) that provide services in contracts carried out in 80 countries.

Three main areas of activity:

  • infrastructure and system engineering
  • carrying out contracts in civil and public partnerships or franchise model
  • infrastructure exploitation

Egis Group companies provide a wide range of services, specialising in the following fields:

  • roads
  • rail
  • air terminals
  • environment
  • urban planning

New policy

In the year 2006 an enormous undertaking has been initiated within the Egis Group, called project ONE, whose intention was to unify the face of the Group and at the same time companies included in its line-up. Its main assumption include an introduction of a new organisation system, and new and common identity of the daughter companies that reflect the same company logo, common element in their name EGIS, and a common strategy of development. Main benefits resulting from the new policy, that have their output on all local markets, are the following:

  • proposal of an unified offer
  • comprehensive service of the investments
  • high quality of specialisations by separate daughter companies
