Net contract value: PLN 48 199 000,00 Project description: The Project’s objective is to perform study, design, and preparatory works required in order to build the high speed railway line Warsaw – (CMK) – Kraków/Katowice in the planning period 2014 – 2020 from the Cohesion Fund subsidy, and in the later period to extend the line in the area of Tatra and Beskidy mountains, as well as a Feasibility Study and Pre-design documentation for modernisation of railway lines entering into the Corridor no. VI TEN-T, from Katowice into Slovakia via a border crossing point in Zwardoń – Skalite and from Katowice to the Czech Republic via the border crossing point in Zebrzydowice – Petrovice u Karvine, envisaged to be performed in the planning period 2007-2013. It is expected that as a result of the E 65 railway line – South modernisation, CMK shall reach the high speed railway line standards. The designed modernisation of E 65 line constitutes one of the tasks of a comprehensive railway line modernisation in Poland, performed since the year 1993 with the assistance of PHARE, ISPA, FS, EFRR, and TEN-T funds.
