Contract signing - Skierniewice Bypass

On November 03rd, 2009, Egis Poland Sp. z o.o. acting in JV with Egis Route-Scetauroute, signed the contract for the preparation of comprehensive design documentation for the construction of Skierniewice eastern bypass with Skierniewice municpality as the Employer. The aim of the investment is to improve communication and remove traffic jams in Skierniewice town. The contract includes preparation of multi-assortment design documentation, final design and tender dossier, as well as obtaining decisions required for the implementation of the task.

 
Alliance with Iosis Group

15.10.2009

On October 15th, 2009, Egis Group published the information about entering into strategic alliance with Iosis Group, one of the leaders in building and civil nuclear engineering. Joining of competences of the two Groups is a milestone in our activity and will result in the creation of a global offer of engineering services. In Poland, Iosis Group is represented by Iosis Polska company, with whom Egis Poland had the opportunity to cooperate several times.

 
Opening of A4 Wielicka - Szarów

29.10.2009

On 29th October 2009 an official opening of a 20-km motorway section between Wielicka and Szarów took place. The ceremony was attended by many prominents, among others the Vice-Minister of Infrastructure Ryszard Stępień, Voivod of Małopolska Stanisław Sorys and the president of Cracow city Jacek Majchrowski. The motorway was consecrated by the cardinal Franciszek Macharski. Mr. Vice-Minister gave a speech in which, quite unusual, he thanked former authorities for commencing the investment. Then the Director of GDDiA Cracow branch, Mr. Jacek Gryka, expressed his gratitude towards the contractors (consortium of Dragados SA / Polimex – Mostostal SA) and the supervision, i.e. Egis. The road was opened to traffic conditionally, some necessary correcting works will be carried in the nearest future, yet without causing any difficulties for the drivers.

 
Infrastruktura Fair 2009

Targi InfrastrukturaOn October 14-16th, 2009, VIIth edition of International Trade Fair of Municipal and Road Infrastructure was held in Warsaw Fair and Congress Centre MT Polska. 131 of Polish and foreign exhibitors presented their offer, including, traditionally, Egis. The major idea promoted during the Fair was the safety of road traffic users - apart from numerous conferences devoted to this subject, participants of the Fair had the opportunity to visit a Road Traffic Town. The event was held under the honorary auspices of Ms. Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz – the President of the capital city of Warsaw and Mr. Cezary Grabarczyk – the Minister of Infrastructure.

 
Contract signing - A2 Konin Stryków

On 12 October 2009, the JV of Egis Poland / Egis Route signed the contract for "The management of contract for the adaptation of A2 motorway, Konin-Stryków section, to the toll motorway standards, including the supervision over construction works" with the General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways. The Consultant will be responsible for the administration and coordination of all activities related to the design, execution of works, completion and delivery of all devices, opening for use and proper operation of the toll collection system, emergency communication system, motorway maintenance centres in "Wartkowice" interchange and "Stryków II" area, traffic control, management and supervision systems. The project should be completed within 30 months as of the date of awarding the contract.

 
Contract signing - Pszczyna Bypass

Obwodnica PszczynyOn 07.10.2009 a contract for the design of Pszczyna northern bypass was signed between Zarząd Dróg Wojewódzkich in Katowice and the JV of Egis Poland and Egis Route companies. In result of the design documentation prepared for the construction of the northern bypass of Pszczyna town, a new alignment of the voivodship road No. 935 will be set forth on the section 4.8 km long. The documentation will cover the design of the road body, engineering structures, collective and access roads as well relocation of utilities. The project is planned to be completed by 30 July 2010.

 
Contract signing - A2 Stryków Konotopa

On 23 September 2009 the agreement was signed for the management of design & build contract for the design and construction of A2 motorway from Stryków to Konotopa, including the supervision over the design and construction works. Egis Poland is one of the JV partners, apart from the companies DHV Polska (leader) and Arcadis. Within a framework of the contract, the management and coordination services will be provided by the JV for all five (A-E) lots of the motorway distinguished by GDDKiA. The planned date of handing over the motorway to traffic is the end of May 2012.

 
Contract signing - Sewage transmission system

OŚ CzajkaOn 22 September 2009, Egis Poland signed with the company of Miejskie Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji w m. st. Warszawie S.A. the contract for the Engineer's services for the project „Construction of the sewage transmission system from the left bank Warsaw to Czajka Sewage Treatment Plant" - Stage I. It is the task implemented within a framework of the Project entitled „Water supply and sewage treatment in Warsaw - PHASE III” covered by the co-financing from the Cohesion Fund, pursuant to the decision of the European Commission No. 2005/PL/16/C/PE/003 dated 9 December 2005r. The expected deadline for completion of construction works is 30.09.2010.

 
Opening of A4 Zgorzelec-Krzyżowa

FotografOn 14.08.2009, Zgorzelec - Krzyżowa section of A4 motorway was officially opened to traffic.  The ceremony was attended by the Vice Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Mr. Grzegorz Schetyna, the Minister of Infrastructure Mr Cezary Grabarczyk, Dolnośląskie Voivod Rafał Jurkowlaniec, Voivodship Marshall Marek Łapiński, General Director of GDDKiA Lech Witecki, Director of GDDKiA Wrocław Branch Robert Radoń, representatives of local authorities (presidents, mayors, commune heads), representatives of the Supervision and the Contractors. After the official cutting of the ribbon, the VIPs gave short speeches in which they thanked all people involved in the investment implementation process, including the Supervision and the Contractors. Due to the opening of this section, a 421-km motorway will enable travel from Cracow to the German border.

 
Opening of S8 Radzymin-Wyszków

FotografThe ceremony of works completion and official opening of S8 expressway on Radzymin-Wyszków to traffic (the project supervised by Egis Poland and Egis Route-Scetauroute companies) took place on July 31st, 2009, in Niegów . The guests were welcomed on behalf of the Minister of Infrastructure and the General Director of National Roads and Motorways by the director of GDDKiA Warsaw Branch, Mr. Wojciech Dąbrowski. A symbolic ribbon cutting was made by: Wojciech Dąbrowski, Jacek Kozłowski (Mazovian Voivod), Waldemar Siemiński, Bogdan Pągowski (starost) and Ryszard Węsierski (vice-starost of Wołomin). The road has been opened to traffic for half a year but with temporary traffic management system. From now on the over 40-km section from Wyszków to Radzymin will be a full expressway.
