Contract signing - Minsk Bypass

Another success of Egis companies! On July 30th, 2009, the consortium of Egis Poland / Egis Route had the pleasure to sign with GDDKiA Warsaw Branch a contract for the management of project entitled "Construction of Mińsk Mazowiecki bypass in highway standard in course of the national road No. 2 on Choszczówka – Ryczołek interchange section from km 520+400 to km 541+249”, including supervision of works. The planned time for contract completion accounts for 46.5 months. An official works commencement is forecasted for 24.08.2009.

FotografOn June 25th, 2009, in FSNT NOT building in Warsaw a ceremony was held, finalising XIX edition of the competition „CONSTRUCTION OF THE YEAR 2008” organised by PZITB in cooperation with the Ministry of Infrastructure and GUNB. The II level award was granted to the project „Construction of bridge crossing over Warta river - a new alignment of the national road No. 25", supervised among others by Egis companies and with the Municipal Authorities of Konin as an investor. Altogether, 67 construction sites finalised in 2008 entered for the competition.

 
Contract signing - Aleje Jerozolimskie

We have the pleasure to inform about the latest success of our company - on 07.07.2009 the consortium of Egis Poland / Egis Route signed with Miasto Stołeczne Warszawa - Zarząd Miejskich Inwestycji Drogowych a contract for „Provision of the Contract Engineer's Services for the construction works related to the modernisation of Al. Jerozolimskie section Zesłańców Syberyjskich Roundabout – Łopuszańska, including: Task III – Construction of „Łopuszańska – Kleszczowa” Interchange along with modernisation of Krańcowa street”, another stage of Aleje Jerozolimskie overall modernisation. The project is planned to last 24 month plus 36 months of defects liability period. This undertaking is of great importance for the capital city as it is the second, following the Northern Bridge, biggest communication investment in Warsaw.

 
Contract signing - ITS

ITSOn 19.06.2009 we signed the contract for the Elaboration of a Study for the Ministry of Infrastructure on the Strategy for Development of Intelligent Transport Systems in Poland; a project financed by the World Bank. Egis Poland will be the leader of the consortium implementing the project: Egis Poland / Egis Mobilite / IBI Group. The Study will be elaborated in three stages, comprising, among others, analysis and evaluation of the current condition of ITS infrastructure in Poland along with opportunities for its development, suggested strategy for ITS development and proposal of national ITS architecture and methods of its implementation. This project is a first undertaking of this type on the national scale and will be a milestone in modernising Polish transport infrastructure.

 
Egis Photo Competition

FotografEgis announces a photo competition for all its collaborators. The competition will start on 15.06.2009 and will last until 30.09.2009. Photos can be taken in 3 categories described in the competition regulations and the best photographers will be awarded with valuable prizes. We greatly recommend reading the regulations and entering the competition!

 

 
Contract signing - E65

podpisanie umowy E65On 10.06.2009 we signed the contract for the preparation of a feasibility study - pre-design dossier for "The Modernisation of E65 Railway Line - South” section: Grodzisk Mazowiecki-Kraków/Katowice-Zwardoń/Zebrzydowice-national border” with z PKP PLK S.A. It is the biggest cintract in this field implemented by Egis Poland and it will cover analysis of approximately 600-km section, half out of which runs in new alignment. The study ought to provide answers concerning the target speed limit of train traffic as well as a standard of the line power supply. The project will also include geodesic control network, geodesic maps, environment impact assessment report, administrative decisions, preliminary design, applications for Eu financing and design dossier.

 
II Polish ITS Congress

On 26-27.05.2009 Egis companies (Egis Poland, Egis Mobilite and Egis Projects) participated as a diamond sponsor in the II Polish ITS Congress. Several current ITS problems were touched upon during the Congress, such as: the need of describing the national ITS architecture, implementation of a consistent European ITS development programme, the need for systems interoperability. Considerable attention was brought to the subjects related to the use of ITS in the improvement of the road traffic safety and mitigation of the public transport impact on natural environment. Our companies were represented by two speakers, Mr. Steve Morello and Mr. Andrew Winder, whose presentations aroused general interest.

 
Integration party

impreza integracyjnaOn 22-23.05.2009 we had an opportunity to participate in our annual integration party. Over 100 people were present. This time, the party was organised in the spirit of PRL (Polish People's Republic), so the participant could be creative in selecting their outfits. In the afternoon, we split in Civil Militia brigades and used surveillance-artistic talents to win a reward for the best team. However, as a rule, the evening part was definitely the most ejoyable and it will be long remembered by all participants owing to several competitions, delicious food and drinks as well as great music of the 70s and 80s.

 
Contract signing - STEŚ

08.05.2009

On 08.05.2009 the Design Department of our company signed a contract for the preparation of the Technical - Economic - Environmental Study (STEŚ) for the construction of a new section of the voivodship road Ostrołęka - Wyszków along with the obtaining of the environmental constraints decision for this section. The contract was concluded with Mazovian Voivodship Roads Authority in Warsaw. Egis Poland Sp. z o.o. is the JV leader, whereas Egis Route - Scetauroute S.A. Oddział w Polsce - its Partner. The forecast project duration is 8 months.

 
Prime Minister on A8

04.04.2009

On 04.04.2009 we had an opportunity to welcome the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Donald Tusk, Vice Prime Minister Mr. Grzegorz Schetyna and Governor of Dolnośląskie Voivodship, Mr. Rafał Jurkowlaniec on the construction site of A8 Motorway Wrocław Bypass project. Prominent guests visited the site and had the occassion to discuss with the Employer's and the Contractor's representatives. The visit took about half an hour and the main objective was to see foundations for the future bridge.
